As part of our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we are proud to support a vital cause: the awareness and prevention of cervical cancer through HPV vaccination.
Why Cervical Cancer Awareness Matters
Cervical cancer remains one of the most preventable yet deadly diseases affecting women across the globe. According to the World Health Organization, cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide, with 660,000 new cases in 2022. Alarmingly, 94% of the 350,000 deaths from cervical cancer that year occurred in low- and middle-income countries. These statistics underline the urgent need for better awareness, timely screening, and most importantly—vaccination against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which is the primary cause of cervical cancer.
Prevention is Power: The Role of HPV Vaccination
Vaccination is a key line of defense. Administering the HPV vaccine to girls aged 9–14 years has proven to be highly effective in preventing HPV infections and reducing the risk of cervical and other related cancers. However, many young girls, especially in underprivileged communities, still do not have access to this life-saving vaccine.
Joining Hands with Rotary Club of Delhi Shahdara
In a powerful partnership with the Rotary Club of Delhi Shahdara, Voods Energy proudly supported their HPV Vaccination and Awareness Drive (2023–24). This initiative not only provided educational sessions about cervical cancer and the importance of HPV vaccination, but also successfully vaccinated 1,000 girls, protecting them from future risk.
Our collaboration doesn't stop here—we are fully committed to supporting the second phase of this impactful initiative in 2024–25, helping reach even more families and communities with knowledge and care.
